A chance conversation, a sneaky phone number grab and Steve and Kelly decided to take a “shot” together.

Kelly and Steve first connected over a conversation about their kids, and once Kelly managed to get his phone number she took the plunge and sent him a message.

After a week of nervous waiting, Steve replied! He hadn’t known what to say, but once he did they had their first date - which clearly went well.

Nearly 10 years later, Steve decided it was time to take a shot and pop the question. He slipped a plastic ring into Kellys’ shot glass at a party one night and while she was wondering what was in her glass, Steve took a knee with the real ring.

Kelly turned around and there he was, on one knee, and promptly burst into (happy) tears. She was so overcome that she forgot to answer!

Thankfully she did, with a resounding yes, and after a couple of rough starts with some reschedules due to covid and a venue being remodelled into a brewery, finally - after 10 years, they “put a ring on it” surrounded by their beautiful children, family and friends.
